About this site
|
Weather is one of the few things in life that affects everyone universally. Tragic events such
as the hurricanes that have battered the Gulf Coast in 2005 underscore the importance of keeping
an eye on the weather, and of staying on top of what conditions are like outdoors. I've always
been fascinated with meteorology, and put this site together to combine all of my favorite
weather data sources in one easy to access location. All of the data elements displayed on this
site are linked from publically accessible web sites, and are in most cases paid for through
federal tax dollars.

Changing your IE settings to access this site
|
|
Due to the extensive use of VBScript on Weather Page 2.0, this site may only be compatible with
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0. I will be attempting to use a more universally compatible
scripting language at a later date, so please stay tuned for updates!
Additionally, you many need to make a change to your Internet Explorer security configuration
to be able to view all elements of the Weather Page correctly. To make this change within IE,
go to Tools, and Internet Options, then click on the Security tab. Your screen should look
similar to the following image:

|
|
Next click on the Custom Level button. You will then need to scroll down in the resulting box
until you find the "Access data sources across domains" option. You will need to click the Enabled
button on this screen, as shown in the following image:

|
|
Click OK, then OK once again for the changes to apply.
